  • Material -- case study (3D website)

I have found a website which are very cool. Because I propose to build a online ga;;ery which looks like a real one (such as, the online gallery has doors, and wall, moreover, the artworks are hanging on the wall.), I think this website would help me.

This website is built in 3D space. And it integrates 3D and interaction together organically. Especially the 3D makes the scene very lively. Besides, it also focus on the information delivery, The designer of this website use flash to make all the necessary information enter into the whole scene, which makes audiences feel immersive.

Moreover, there are two small games within this website, which also expresses the good integration of 3D and interaction. And the animation doesn’t slow down the speed of the website.

  • My own work--Brief introduction of my project

    The Project Concept

This project is used to develop an innovative and experimental website to enhance the online participant of artwork and the communication between artists and other art enthusiasts. In order to be more attractive and visual, I want to build an online gallery within three-dimension space. This idea comes from Sutherland’s article “The Ultimate Display” in 1965. As the three-dimension space can mimic our real world, therefore, it is suitable to be used to expresses the visual object, for instance, the artwork.
